RE: RETURN OF CONFISCATED PROPERTIES

I am directed to write with regard to the above subject matter and to inform you that Cabinet at its 8th Meeting held on the 21st July 2011 have approved inter alia the return of the confiscated property of the late Dr. Siaka P. Stevens as listed below:-

Property No. 51 – Kabasa Lodge and adjoining land at Juba Hill Freetown.

It was agreed by Cabinet that with regard to Kabasa Lodge it should be acquired by the State as a prerequisite of the release.

By copy of this letter the Hon. Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment is kindly requested to facilitate the valuation of the said property and connected purpose therein.
